A Journey Around Yangon by Circular Railway

The Yangon Circular Railway is a 45.9-kilometre loop that connects the city centre with many suburban neighbourhoods. Its 39 stations offer passengers a broad view of daily life across Yangon.

Built during the 1930s and later expanded to double track, the railway remains an important part of the city's transport history. A complete trip passes busy markets, residential areas, and green fields on Yangon's outskirts.
